KFUPM 1st “MAD Idea Rally”
KFUPM Mentally Advanced Discussion (MAD) Idea Rally is an avenue for stretching our thinking bounds to their extreme, sharing creative ideas and solutions for existing and emerging societal and economic challenges.
It intends to focus on important topics that require innovative, technical, engineering or scientific solutions, within or adjacent to KFUPM research domains (energy, water, AI & Industry 4.0 applications, sustainability, national security, transportation/mobility & logistics, smart cities, sharing/digital economy, future of workforce/workplace, etc.).
The Rally will give opportunity to stimulate ingenuity and enhance a synergistic innovation culture across KFUPM’s campus. Through the Rally, participants will share their foresights and how they envision navigating critical transitions to the future.
Why is it Unique?
The Rally is open to ALL KFUPM members (Faculty, Researchers, Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Staff, and Administrators) and the family members of faculty/staff. The most innovative ideas will be largely recognized and championed by KFUPM. In addition, they will be given the opportunity to be researched, validated, scaled up and translated into real world applications through innovation activities of the University Interdisciplinary Research Centers (IRCs).
Important Deadlines
- Idea submission begins: June 13th 2021
- Deadline for submission: June 27th 2021
- Response to applicants (Round 1): July 4th 2021
- Final Event (Round 2): July 12th 2021
